Kevin L. Lewis

Kevin L. Lewis is the founder and lead instructor of Krav Maga Hawaii. He is a certified Senior Krav Maga Instructor and a third-degree Krav Maga black belt, with 30+ years in Krav Maga.

He trained under Darren Levine at the Krav Maga National Training Center in Los Angeles. He is the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Krav Maga.

He is a U.S. Navy veteran.

The school’s spirit is simple: learn to protect yourself and walk in peace. Krav Maga Hawaii teaches reality-based self-defense for adults of all experience levels—awareness and judgment first, physical skills when they are needed.

Kevin created Universal Defensive Tactics (U-DTAC) for security officers, executive-protection professionals, and others in protective-service roles. The system is taught as a weekly Saturday class in Honolulu and is distinct from the civilian Krav Maga program.

He was Director of Training for Covered 6 Security Academy for 8 years.
